Login methods

The login screen presents the authentication methods enabled for the app. The GLPI server URL is preconfigured; no server address needs to be entered.

 

Email and password

Native GLPI authentication. Enter the username or email and the password, then tap the submit button.

When only SSO buttons are visible, long-press the version number to reveal the email and password fields.

Sign in with Google

SSO via Google Workspace, implemented with Firebase Auth. On Android the flow is native; on other platforms a WebView handles the authentication. The flavor can restrict access to specific email domains.

Sign in with Microsoft 365

SSO via Microsoft 365, also using Firebase Auth. The authentication opens in a WebView provided by the Firebase plugin.

Sign in with SAML

Opens an embedded browser where the identity provider handles authentication. Once logged into GLPI through the WebView, the app intercepts the session cookies and injects them via the API.

Sign in with OpenID

Same WebView and cookie-interception pattern as SAML. The identity provider and URL are configured per flavor.

Sign in with Apple ID is supported on demand and only available on Apple devices.
